Here’s why I’m optimistic about iOS 27 and Apple’s renewed focus on stability
Apple's iOS 27 is expected to deliver meaningful stability and performance improvements by leveraging AI-assisted development tools (specifically Anthropic's Claude) to automate routine coding tasks, allowing engineers to concentrate on complex optimization challenges. This strategic shift, combined with a relatively feature-light release cycle focused on Siri and Apple Intelligence, positions Apple to overcome historical engineering bottlenecks and deliver demonstrably better system performance. For IT organizations, this signals that enterprise iOS deployments may see enhanced reliability and reduced support burden in the next generation.

This year, Apple is rumored to be doing a code cleanup for iOS 27, as well as overall having a renewed focus for stability and performance – on top of a plethora of Apple Intelligence features.
