8 eMudhra certificates are compromised. Here's what you need to know
Cloudflare’s disclosure that private keys for eight widely trusted eMudhra intermediate certificates were compromised is a high-severity trust infrastructure incident that could let an attacker forge certificates and intercept or modify traffic across many environments. For CIOs and technology leaders, the strategic takeaway is that certificate trust is now a supply-chain and dependency-management issue: IT teams must rapidly patch clients and proxies, audit custom TLS/mTLS trust stores and origin configurations, and validate every application path that relies on WebPKI rather than assuming one fix covers the whole estate.
