macOS 27.2 reveals new clues about Apple’s touchscreen MacBook Pro

Apple’s macOS 27.2 beta adds multiple touch-gesture references, reinforcing expectations that Apple is preparing a touchscreen MacBook Pro and broader macOS touch interactions. For CIOs, this signals a potential shift in premium endpoint design and user experience that could affect application testing, support models, and procurement strategies—especially for organizations standardizing on Apple hardware. IT teams should anticipate new interaction patterns, validate business apps and device management workflows, and plan for help desk and training updates if touchscreen Macs enter the fleet.
