Apple event is reportedly happening next week, per Mark Gurman

Apple is reportedly preparing an October 13 event to unveil a screen-equipped smart home hub, a new HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV, with Siri AI positioned as the common layer across all three products. For CIOs and technology leaders, this signals Apple’s push deeper into AI-enabled ambient computing and the home ecosystem, which could influence employee device expectations, cross-device user experiences, and future integration opportunities within Apple-centric environments. IT organizations should watch for new management, security, and support requirements as Apple extends its platform strategy beyond phones and laptops into the connected home.
