Pixel 11 users are getting some nasty Google Maps bugs in Android Auto

A Google Maps bug affecting Pixel 11 devices in Android Auto is causing flickering, artifacts, low frame rates, and occasional freezes, which can directly undermine driver productivity and safety. For CIOs and technology leaders, the issue underscores the operational risk of rapid mobile OS/flagship device rollouts in enterprise fleets, especially when core apps used for navigation and field work become unreliable and increase help desk demand. It also highlights the need for tighter mobile app validation, phased device adoption, and contingency planning for business-critical workflows that depend on consumer platforms.
