Linux support is coming to Snapdragon X2 Series

Linux support for the Snapdragon X2 Series could materially expand the addressable market for ARM-based PCs by giving enterprises and developers a more flexible platform choice beyond Windows. For CIOs, this signals a potential shift toward greater OS diversity, reduced platform lock-in, and new opportunities for AI PC pilots, but it also means IT organizations will need to validate driver support, security controls, and endpoint management for Linux-based deployments. Strategic planning should account for broader architecture options while ensuring supportability and standardization across mixed-device fleets.
