Samsung’s 2026 flagship finally gets the latest Android update in the US

Samsung has begun rolling out Android 17–based One UI 9 to Galaxy S26 devices in the US, starting with T-Mobile and followed soon by other carriers, delivering new productivity, security, and device-management features along with the September 2026 security patch. For IT leaders, the key implication is that Samsung’s enterprise update cadence still trails Google’s, so organizations should account for staggered carrier releases, delayed unlocked-device availability, and potential testing/compatibility windows before broad deployment across managed fleets.
