Hugging Face is selling a cute $399 open-source duck robot, Microduck

Hugging Face’s $399 open-source Microduck signals that physical AI and robotics are becoming far more accessible, potentially lowering the cost and complexity for enterprises to prototype automation, edge AI, and reinforcement-learning use cases. For CIOs and technology leaders, the strategic shift is that IT organizations may soon need to evaluate and support open, hackable robots like software platforms—while also taking on new responsibilities for security, privacy, device governance, and lifecycle management.
