Google Keep is a major downgrade to OneNote in one key area, and that's why I didn't make the switch

While Google Keep offers an attractive, minimalist interface and superior synchronization, it lacks critical security features—specifically password-protected sections and biometric authentication—that OneNote provides for safeguarding sensitive business and personal data. For organizations managing confidential information, this security gap represents a significant business risk, as Keep's all-or-nothing transparency approach forces users to choose between accessibility and data protection rather than implementing granular security controls.
